Extent of the semester 
30 ECTS corresponding to an expected weekly study effort of 45 hours, a total of 900 hours.

Topic of the semester
The semester has a focus on chemical reactions and the calculations of chemical reactions and processes and their application in one of several fields, such as chemical, process or environmental process engineering. The students investigate these aspects in both theoretical and practical work, with courses of chemical reaction engineering and heat transmission and fluid mechanics setting a basis for the process understanding while mathematical modelling provides a mathematical foundation for the calculation aspects.

Organization of the semester
The semester consists of 3 courses, each 5 ECTS and 1 project module of 15 ECTS. The semester is organized with course activity distributed across the semester, however December should contain a minimum of course activity if any. Project work is to be carried out throughout the semester, depending on how the groups chose to manage their time and meet with supervisors.
During the semester there will be a seminar dealing with the options of next semester, i.e. are you going to do a bachelor project and continue on a master program, or will you go to an internship.
