This course module aims to provide the knowledge and skills to understand the different aspects of Geovisualisation and providing competences in Remote Sensing image analysis. Thus, this course gives the student a sound basis for incorporating geovisualization techniques in geographic information technologies supporting the GIS development needs. The students will learn how to interpret satellite images including optical and radar images as well as lidar data and how to extract features from them. They will also learn how to visualize and interact with 3D geographic information as well as spatiotemporal datasets. The workshop will conclude the course by integrating the previous lectures and filling the possible topical gaps.
